It was the will of Mr. and Mrs. Weeramanthri to gift their house in Kottawa to a religious congregation. Accordingly, after Mr. Weeramanthri’s death it was implemented by his wife Mrs. Doreen Weeramanthri. We consider this a gift to the Congregation and decided to send two sisters to reside there. At the moment one sister is teaching and both are engaged in pastoral work. We envision a house of prayer in the future so that the sisters could shift between a busy schedule and a desert experience whenever they wanted it – ‘A Martha to Mary’ shift. We are also privileged to have Mrs. Weeramanthri with us in the same house and we wish to accompany her as long as she lives.
